After a slight delay for the wind, the Vineyard City Days celebration kicked off summer with a literal bang. The long-awaited fireworks display at Vineyard Grove Park on Saturday capped off the multi-day celebration.

On the final day, hundreds of people gathered for a full day of events, from the Vineyard Days race at 8 a.m. to the evening’s musical headliner and the final fireworks display.

As the town’s youngest celebration in Utah County – the first Vineyard Heritage Days took place in 2016 – locals were excited to spend their weekends celebrating the start of summer with their neighbors .

Attendees had a lot of fun browsing the rows of commercial and community stalls or wandering the rows of food trucks, but the kids had their sights set on the bouncy house activity options.

Eager to make memories and enjoy the day, the children played under a foam shower courtesy of the Orem Fire Department before the main event of the night – a concert by Ryan Innes. Innes attended Brigham Young University and appeared on “The Voice”, making a name for himself and gaining recognition for his “soulful” style.

He and the 10-member band providing everything from backing vocals to horns kept attendees up for original songs and covers by the Beatles, Stevie Wonder and more.

With Vineyard Days on the books, other cities in Utah County will have more events and celebrations in the days, weeks and months ahead.
