Wither Hills is a brand focusing on a single vineyard in its new range. “The wines are crafted in an artisan style, using artisanal practices to provide a unique quality and character to the vineyard they come from,” said a spokesperson.

The local brand offers a new range of single vineyard wines that the winemakers say have a site-specific taste from each of the three selected vineyards. For example, WH’s Rarangi Sauvignon Blanc is grown in a vineyard at sea level, about 200m from the ocean, which creates a soil structure and microclimate that is different from other vineyards in the region. The minerality and sea salt of the place stand out in the wine, making it very dry.
