Teresa giudice spoke about her divorce from Joe giudice during Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Months after the former couple finalized their separation after 20 years of marriage, Teresa confirmed what she was given during their divorce proceedings while revealing whether she had given her own money to her ex. husband.
“In our divorce settlement, I have the house and Joe left with nothing because I paid off all his debts,” Teresa revealed in a confessional. “And I’ve been taking care of our daughters for five years now on my own.”
As RHONJ fans know it well, Teresa started raising her children, her daughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana, as a single mother when Joe started serving his 41 month prison sentence on bank and wire fraud charges. in March 2016. Also during the March 24 episode, Teresa was seen telling Joe on FaceTime that she wanted to sell their $ 2.25 million home in Montville, New Jersey. And in response, Joe told her that she could do whatever she wanted with the house because it was hers.
“You can do whatever you want, this is your house,” Joe said to Teresa.
And later in the episode, Teresa called Joe a “class act” for the way he handled their divorce settlement.
Although some of Teresa’s casting comrades, namely Joe and Melissa Gorga, feared that Joe would go after Teresa’s money in the midst of their separation, Teresa said their breakup was “the easiest divorce in the whole world.”
In the months following their final divorce, Teresa had a romance with her boyfriend Luis Ruelas as Joe splits his time between Italy and the Bahamas, where he is currently training for his October celebrity boxing match against Jennifer lopezex-husband of, Ojani Noa.
