Famous Sonoma County Winery Continues 40th Anniversary Celebrations With New Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and The Cutrer Chardonnay

WINDSOR, California, September 21, 2021 – Today, Californian pioneer Sonoma-Cutrer, located in the heart of the Russian River Valley, announces two new vintages of its award-winning wines: Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2019 and Chardonnay The Cutrer 2019. As the estate celebrates its 40th anniversary anniversary this year, these new vintages highlight the mastery of the domain of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines.

Sonoma-Cutrer’s female-led wine team includes Pinot Noir Winemaker Zidanelia Arcidiacono and Chardonnay Winemaker Cara Morrison. “We are honored to continue the 40-year legacy of the winery with the release of these two new vintages which testify to our approach implementing both Burgundy traditions and Californian innovation,” said Morrison.

“The 2019 vintages of The Cutrer and Russian River Valley exemplify our commitment to creating high quality wines through Chardonnay and Pinot Noir while respecting sustainability practices from vineyard to cellar,” said Arcidiacono.

The 2019 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir was aged in a blend of new one-year and two-year French oak barrels for 11 months before being blended and bottled for another six months. The wine has a deep ruby-purple hue and aromas of exotic spices, blackberry and sweet vanilla, resulting in an elegant flavor. With balanced acidity, a juicy core and a long finish, the 2019 vintage is sure to be a favorite with Pinot Noir lovers.

The Chardonnay The Cutrer 2019 is 100% fermented in barrels and aged for eight months on lees in French oak barrels, then assembled in vats and racked into three-year-old French oak barrels for five months and bottled for three months before the release. Layered and balanced, the aromas include light caramel and brown sugar with hints of cedar. Flavors of white peach, nuts, toasted oak and baking spices emerge on the palate, with a long, mouth-watering finish.

Sonoma-Cutrer Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (13.9%) and Cutrer (14.1%) are available at retail for a suggested retail price of $ 35. The wines will be available at retail outlets nationwide as well as directly from the winery at www.sonomacutrer.com.
