King Bach is an anomaly in its own right, someone who effortlessly continues to deliver the most hilarious and timeless content over and over again. With 21.3 million followers on Instagram alone, his real name Andrew Byron Bachelor kicked off his career on Vine, hailing the highest number of followers on the social media app (over 16 million subscribers) before. that it does not collapse.

In the 24th episode of Shirley Temple, I spoke with King Bach via Zoom to discuss launching his own wine, co-owning Gloveworx, filming Vacation Friends, social media breaks, his favorite song, his favorite movie, and Moreover !

All hip-hop: How are you?

King Bach: Good! I was shooting a short film that I’m directing, it’s called In Deep.

All hip-hop: I know your schedule is crazy. What is an average day in the life of King Bach?

King Bach: Wake up, get down to business. Sleep, get up, and work harder.

All hip-hop: How did you come to create your own wine?

King Bach: Me and my best friend Amanda Cerny, we love to drink red wine. She found a bunch of samples, we tried them all and picked the best. We created SIX26, which is our anniversary. We both have the same birthday, June 26th, so we called it SIX26.

All hip-hop: Besties is a strong word. When did you become friends?

King Bach: He is 7 years old.

All hip-hop: Are you a wine connoisseur?

King Bach: Yes I like that. It is an acquired taste fasho. I just love how light it is. It’s light, it’s fun, it’s cool. I like this.

All hip-hop: How do you feel doing this Zoom interview?

King Bach: It’s pretty normal for me now.

All hip-hop: Before COVID, were you the type to go out or are you generally in the cradle?

King Bach: No, I am a homebody. I like to relax at home.

All hip-hop: Much of the show is sanity. How are you holding up?

King Bach: I feel good, I just relax at home. Do little workouts here in my pool. I take care of being creative, so I feel good.

All hip-hop: I didn’t know you were co-owner of Gloveworx.

King Bach: Yeah, the Gloveworx boxing hall.

All hip-hop: I actually took a class there and loved it.

King Bach: Oh yeah, you have to go back. I go to the one in Century City Mall.

All hip-hop: How did the filming of Vacation Friends go?

King Bach: It’s exciting, Vacation Friends is out now on Hulu. John Cena, the whole cast was awesome. Overall it was a good experience. I can not wait [for people to watch it].

All hip-hop: What was the energy on the set?

King Bach: The energy was great, we were all having fun. I’ve known Lil Rel Howery for a few years, so it’s great to work with someone you’ve been friends with.

Spending more than 3 hours a day on social media puts teens at a higher risk for mental health problems. You are very popular, what is your opinion on social networks?

Sometimes you have to take breaks. If you feel exhausted and constantly – if you wake up and the first thing you do is go to your phone and check Instagram, then you have to try and find a different cycle. Maybe you need a phone break, you know?

All hip-hop: How often do you take breaks?

King Bach: I take them from time to time. I haven’t really done much on social media lately. I worked on directing, acting and stand-ups.

All hip-hop: You’re the king of content, so you’ve probably ### stacked?

King Bach: Oh yes. I have a bunch of stuff just ready. [laughs]

All hip-hop: Will you ever box professionally?

King Bach: No I will not. I box for fun and to train, but not to ruin my face. I play fight with a girl and I say “ouch” way too many times.

All hip-hop: What’s going on with Bach’s love life? Do you have a bae?

King Bach: No, I relax. I’m relaxing right now, just focused on work.

All hip-hop: How was the shooting of the video for “7 Wonders”?

King Bach: Oh, that was awesome. My boy led this. I love watching this WandaVision movie. We used that concept and made this clip, which was pretty silly.

All hip-hop: The costume was on point, how did you feel?

King Bach: Thank you. It was really hot in there.

All hip-hop: Favorite emoji?

King Bach: The smiley with the drool coming out.

All hip-hop: Favorite snack?

King Bach: Dried mangoes.

All hip-hop: Bigger fear?

King Bach: I do not have any. I can’t even think about it.

All hip-hop: Favorite song right now?

King Bach: J Cole, “Pride is the devil.”

All hip-hop: The first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

King Bach: Take as ###.

All hip-hop: The biggest thing you dropped a bag on?

King Bach: My house.

All hip-hop: Favorite movie of all time?

King Bach: Rush hour 2.

All hip-hop: An actor or actress with whom you would like to play in a movie?

King Bach: Will Smith.

All hip-hop: Haven’t you crossed paths?

King Bach: Yeah, he’s my guy. [laughs]

All hip-hop: The first thing you think of when you hear King Bach?

King Bach: A lot of pressure.
